Dishwasher Repair

If you have started up a full dishwasher only to come back to it not running, it may just be a fluke. However, if you find that your dishwasher keeps stopping in the middle of any of its cycles, then you will need to do a little investigation into the issue.

Check for a Blown Fuse

If the dishwasher stopped mid-cycle once and is refusing to start again, the first thing you want to check for is a blown fuse. However, even if the thermal fuse has blown, it still means that there is also another issues that is causing the appliance to overheat.

Faulty Door Latch

If you have a dishwasher that is shutting off mid-cycle, you may have a faulty door latch. If the door latch isn’t latching properly, the safety mechanisms in your dishwasher will prevent it from starting. In this case, the latch will fail in the middle of the cycle and stop the cycle all together.

Water Issues

In order for the pump and motor to run properly, it needs enough water pressure. Have you tried turning on your tap to see if water flows? Even if it does flow, it also needs to come out at a good water pressure to run your appliance. If it does not, the appliance could just shut off. If you are having water pressure issues, then it could mean a leak in the line rather than an appliance issue.
